The place
The grove is the dining room.
Tables stand on the red Istrian earth between old olive trees, behind a dry stone wall, in a hamlet above Vižinada. Meat goes over charcoal on the open hearth. Pršut is cured on the farm and cut to order.
It is quiet here, and a good way off the coast road. Nobody hurries you through lunch, so most guests give the afternoon to it. Come with a table booked.

The table
Five things, done properly.
Boškarin, sausage, sage, truffle and hand-rolled pasta. What is on depends on the season and the day, so treat this as the shape of the menu rather than the whole of it. Truffle dishes follow the season, black and white. Gluten-free options are available — ask when you book.
