Under the olive trees, for as long as anyone remembers.

A family agritourism in inland Istria. We cure our own prosciutto, roll the pasta by hand, and lay the table among the olive trees.
About us
The kitchen of an Istrian hamlet
Mekiši is a small hamlet between Vižinada and Kaštelir, above the Mirna valley — truffle, olive and boškarin country. A stone house, a terrace shaded by old olive trees, and a kitchen that cooks the way this place always has.
We cure our prosciutto in our own drying house and roll the pasta by hand — pljukanci, fuži, gnocchi, ravioli and tagliatelle. The meat is Istrian, the truffle comes from the surrounding hills, and the bigger dishes arrive in cast iron, to share. Here, you eat slowly.
